He graduated at Conservatoire "G. Verdi" in Milan with Ruggero Chiesa with full marks. Moreover he attended and graduated with full marks at State University of Milan, faculty of Arts, majoring in History of Music with Prof. Francesco Degrada. His degree on Mauro Giuliani was published by University Microfilms International in the U.S. Hes member of the editorial staff of the music magazine "il Fronimo" and his articles has been published both in Italy and abroad. Hes been in charge of direction and realisation of a monographic issue wholly devoted to guitar ("Speciale Amadeus. The Classical Guitar") for the renowned Italian musical magazine "Amadeus". He was involved in both radio broadcast recordings and many musical concerts in several Italian towns. He particularly focus on chamber music, anyway, he heaps himself closely tied with both contemporary and solo music: he recently played the premiere execution of various Italian composers. The CD Filippo Gragnani. Chamber music with guita, (Stradivarius STR 33385) has met with great success and obtained excellent reviews. He's currently teaching guitar at "A. Manzoni" Music School of Milan and at the Civic Academy of Music of Varese (Italy). |
